All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** May 5, 1976 EDWARD NEILL PRICE Funeral services for Edward Neill Price, 73, of Decatur, Ala., former Ferriday resident, were held Saturday at 10 a.m. at the First Methodist Church there with the Rev. Thomas Stevenson officiating. Burial was in Maple Hill Cemetery. Mr. Price had lived in Ferriday for 15 years. He was retired from Union Compress and Warehouse Co. in Decatur, where he had been superintendent. He had been connected with the compress company for 45 years. Mr. Price was active in civic work in Decatur. He was past president of the Decatur Rotary Club, and was the recipient of a Paul Harris Fellow Award, one of Rotary's highest honors. He was also active in the Chamber of Commerce, the Auburn Alumni Association, the Alabama Warehouse Association, the National Warehouse Association, the Morgan County Maid of Cotton contest, the Decatur Concert Association and the Boy Scouts. He was the recipient of Scouting's Silver Beaver award. Fishing and gardening were also among his many hobbies. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Margaret H. Price of Decatur; two sons, Ed Price Jr. of LaGrange, Ga., and Joe Allen Price of San Francisco; a grand- daughter, Debbie Jo Price of LaGrange; and three brothers, Frank, Sim and Jack Price, all of Decatur.
