PYLANT Services for Raymond H. Pylant, 75, of Wisner were held Tuesday, March 9, 1999 at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Vidalia under the direction of Laird Funeral Home. Burial followed at Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Laird. Pylant died Monday, March 8, 1999 at Natchez Community Hospital. He was born April 23, 1923 in Crowville, La. to William Asberry and Zelma Cox Pylant. He retired in 1985 from International Paper Company after 35 years of service. He was a World War II Army Veteran having served in the 291st Combat Engineers and was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Winnsboro. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Frances Walker Pylant and brothers, Wilburn Pylant, Ozro Pylant, Chester Pylant, and Harvey Pylant.
