Alfred Ellis Shields

     Services for Alfred Ellis Shields, 52, of La Puente, Calif. and formerly of St. Joseph
were held Saturday, July 1, 2000 at Choctaw Chapel Baptist Church in St. Joseph under the
direction of Concordia Funeral Home.  The Rev. Frank Brown officiated.
     Burial followed at Barcelona Cemetery in Waterproof under the direction of Concordia.
     Shields died Saturday, June 24 at the Kaiser Hospital in Valdwin, Calif.  He was born
May 19, 1948 in St. Joseph to Ray and Annie B. Ellis Shields.  He was a fork lift driver for
Cocoa Coal in California and was of the Baptist faith.  
     He was preceded in death by his father, Ray Shields.
