IMOGENE O'NEAL SLEDGE

   Services for Imogene O'Neal Sledge, 63, of Vidalia, were held at 10 a.m.
December 27, 1996 at First Baptist Church in Vidalia under the direction of
Young's Funeral Home in Ferriday.  The Rev. Dr. Richard Lisk officiated.
   Burial followed at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction
of Young's.
   Mrs. Sledge died December 24, 1996 at Riverland Medical Center.
   She was born October 28, 1933 in Morgan County, MO.
   Mrs. Sledge was a retired registered nurse and a former member of the 
Board of Directors of Riverland Medical Center.  She was a member of the 
Mississippi Nurses Association and a member of First Baptist Church in Vidalia.
   She was preceded in death by her first husband David O'Neal, her mother
Grace Shirley and her sister Lecta Jones.
