SMITH, FRANCES A.

     Services for Frances Arleana Smith, 80, of Wildsville were held on December
14, 1998 at Young's Funeral Home Chapel in Ferriday.
     The Rev. James Twilbeck officiated.
     Burial followed at Harrisonburg Cemetery under the direction of Young's.
     She died December 11 at Natchez Regional Medical Center.
     Smith was born May 20, 1918 in Concordia Parish and was a graduate of
Louisiana State University.
     She was a plantation owner and operator.  Smith was a member of the Order
of the Eastern Star and Ferriday Garden Club.  She was of the Baptist faith.
     She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry H. Smith and sister, Geneva
T. Brallier.
