All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** FRANCE TAYLOR BURIED MONDAY AT HARRISONBURG The funeral of France Taylor, 51 year-old successful planter residing near Jonesville, who died at a hospital in Natchez, Miss., following an attack of appendicitis for which an operation was performed, was held at Harrisonburg Monday afternoon at 4 o'clock. A resident of the Black river section for many years, Taylor had been enjoying good health and was ill for only a week prior to his death in Natchez after the operation Sunday at 5:30 o'clock. He was held in high esteem by the parish citizens of Catahoula and Concordia, with whom he has been in contact with for many years. Deceased is survived by his widow, Mrs. Carrie Kirby Taylor, a daughter, Mrs. Pearl Lanier, of Trinity, two sisters, Mrs. Betty Kirby of Cotton Valley, La., and Mrs. Walter Albritton, of Black river and a brother, Terrell Taylor of Selma, La.
