There is actually two cemeteries next door to each other One is marked "confederate cemetery". It's maintained by a group and looks like they've really done a lot of work with it. Most stones were very hard to read. There weren't an awful lot with names on them but seemed to be survivors of the CSA. There were many marked with no ID's. I was told that the center of cemetery was a mass grave of Union soldiers. Confederate Cemetery: From the Battle of Mansfield (at least 60 unmarked graves with small stones) Stones identified with engraving were: J.W. Hudnall died March 1860 aged 30 yrs (not war I'm sure) Arthur Cornet born Sept 12, 1830, died 17 Oct 1915, "Was a true and Brave soldier to the confederacy. Bone, McMillan died 14 March 1911 age 76 years Wes Booten died 4 March 1907 aged 75 years Pvt Andrew J. Carson , Co K, 28 La Inf Csa, Feb 13, 1835---21 April 1864 George M. Anderson son of J.A. and S. A. Anderson, Feb 7, 1861, Age 2yr 11 mo Sarah K (stone broken and dirt around bottom part of stone, not readable) Looked liked may have been mother of George M. Charles P , son of J.A and M.L. Patch, born March 24, 1859, died June 10, 1859, aged 2 mo 16 days.
