L. Ramblin, assistant superintendent of the American National Insurance company of Shreveport, in whose family the book has been prized for generations, it was originally owned by Henry Williams of Mansfield, who was presented with it by a bishop at Natchitoches, in 1826. Mr. Williams delivered the Bible to his son W.B. Williams of Kingston, who in turn delivered it to his daughters, Mrs. Georgia Williams Adley and Mrs. Mary Jane Williams, who latter being the mother of H. L. Ramblin, the present holder of the Bible.
