Because of Mrs. Adams' generous spirit, she donated her body to LSU Medical Center for research. Memorial services were held at Fellowship Baptist Church in Mansfield, LA (where Mrs. Adams was a member) on Sunday, September 27, 1998, at 3:00 p.m. Mrs. Adams was born March 19, 1910 in Benton, LA to Mr. & Mrs. M.E. Hyde. She was educated at Benton High School and Normal State College. Mrs. Adams was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers and sisters and her husband of 67 years, Ira Adams. She is survived by eight children and their spouses, Harold and Elaine Adams, Houston, TX, James and Marty Adams, Blanchard, LA, Betty and Hubert Forkum, White Bluff, TN, Sue and Homer Little, Logansport, LA, Martha and Milton Davis, Garland, TX; Linda and David Pharis, Mary and Dale Weir, Stonewall, LA, and Mona and Paul Troutman, Shreveport, LA; 21 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. Mrs. Adams was dedicated to her Lord and her family. She was a member of several organizations and she taught Young Adults and Adult Women's Sunday School Classes for many years in Mansfield, LA, where she and her family resided for 60 years. The family wishes to thank Samaritan Care Hospice of LA, for their dedicated care and concern.
