The Shreveport Times, Nov 30, 1971
Mansfield - Rev. Needham Penn Plunkett, 79, of Pelican, died Monday in a local 
hospital after a short illness. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. 
Tuesday in the Drewett Memorial Chapel with Dr. Arnold Nelson officiating.  
Burial will be in the Pelican Cemetery. Survivors include his widow; two sons, 
Doswell Plunkett of Anaheim, Calif., Truitt Plunkett of Pelican; three 
brothers, Joseph Plunkett of Jackson, Monroe Plunkett of Good Pine, Clifton 
Plunkett of Good Pine, and one sister, Mrs. Mary Fox.

Additional Comments:
Rev. Plunkett was the son of Needham Benjamin PLUNKETT and Elizabeth 
Frances "Lidia" BATES.  He married Minnie Lee SPIVEY on 28 Jan 1912.  Rev 
Plunkett was a Baptist Minister from 1929-1971.
