Haughton, LA - Tuett Spivey Plunkett, 72, died March 26, 1998 at Heritage 
Manor of Bossier after a courageous battle with cancer.  Visitation will be 
held at Rose-Neath's Bossier Chapel 2-5 p.m. Sunday, March 29. Funeral 
services will be at Haughton Baptist Church, Monday, 10 a.m. March 30, with 
the Rev. Mark Eakin and Rev. Melton Prothro officiating.  Burial will be at 
Pelican Cemetery, Pelican, La.

Mr. Plunkett was born in Mansfield, La., on September 12, 1925; his childhood 
home was in Pelican. He was a graduate of Northwestern University with a 
degree in accounting. He held various positions in Natchitoches, Caddo and 
Bossier Parishes and was presently employed by the Bossier Housing Authority 
and the Bossier Parish Library. He was a member of the Haughton Baptist 
Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Needham and Minnie Spivey 
Plunkett and by three infant brothers, William P., Roy Fleming, and Needham L. 
Plunkett. He is survived by a brother, Doswell "Don" Plunkett and wife Kay, 
four nephews, Greg, Tom, Mike and Donnie Plunkett; two great nephews, Nicholas 
and Thomas Plunkett; and one great niece, Ameilia Helen Plunkett; a number of 
cousins and host of friends.

The family wishes to thank especially Dwayne Cloud, the Rev. Melton Prothro, 
the Rev. Mark Eakin, the staff of Heritage Manor of Bossier, members of the 
Haughton Baptist Church and the St. John's Episcopal Church in Minden for 
their Christian love and care during his long illness.
