Stuart of said Parish respectfully herewith-that Francis R. Cheatham /Late/ of said Parish has deceased leaving a widow and six children, all minors-that his estate is small and deeply in debt. That the widow has renounced the commuity existing between the deceased and herself and refuses to administer on the estate of her late husband. Stuart of said Parish curator of the estate of Francis R. Cheatham /deceased/ respectfully states that an inventory of the affects of said estate has been taken. That the personal property is exposed to ? Whereas your petitioner prays that the personal property of said estate be sold on a credit of sixty days purchasers giving security according to law Amos Adams Attorney for Petitioner Let the prayer of the petitioner be granted and let the personal property of the estate of Francis R. Cheatham be sold on a credit of sixty days purchasers giving notes satisfactorily endorsed. Ch. Stuart of the said parish, curator to the succession of Francis R. Cheatham (deceased) late of said parish respectfully herewith----That it will be necessary to sell all the real estate of the said succession to pay the debts of the same. Wherefore your petitioner prays that an order may be granted to sell the said real estate described as follows, to wit: -- A house and lot in that part of the town of Baton Rouge laid out by A. Grass and designated on the plan there of as Number one Square having forty two fronting on Lafayette Street with the depth of one hundred feet more or less with all the apperataning thereunto belongings. It being the same purchased by said Cheatham of P.A. Walker as will more fully appear by reference to Book F No. 195 Page 204 in the Office of Charles W. Crawford, Esq.
