The Petition of Jemima Sullivan residing in the Parish of East Baton Rouge and widow of the late Thomas Noble of said Parish deceased respectfully represents that on the 27th day of September 1837 she contracted a marriage with the said Thomas Noble deceased. That on the 5th day of March 1842 said Noble the late husband of your Petitioner died leaving as the fruits of said marriage two Minor children towit Sarah aged abot three years and William aged about eight months. That the Tutorship of said Minor children belongs of right to your Petitioner as their only surviving parent. Therefore Your Petitioner prays that she may be duely confirmed in the Tutorship of her said minor children Sarah and William agreeably to law and thus all legal proceedings be had in the premises which the Law requires. 19th March 1842 (Signed) Jemima L.
