Betty Davis, 89, a resident of Baton Rouge and a native of Pittsburgh, passed 
away Friday, July 4, 2008, at the Flannery Oaks Guest House. Visiting will be 
at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., on Tuesday, July 8, from 5 p.m. 
to 7 p.m. Memorial service in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, July 9, at 
noon, conducted by the Rev. Patricia Snyder. Survived by her husband, William 
H. Davis; daughter, Sarah Jackson and husband Michael; sister, Donna Heilman 
and husband Richard; and five grandchildren, Rebekah and Nicole Wallace, 
Robert, William and Amanda Davis. Preceded in death by her son, Robert William 
Davis. Betty was a member of University Presbyterian Church, PEO and American 
University Women. She also volunteered with Meals on Wheels, Baton Rouge 
General Medical Center for 15 years and Cancer Society of Greater Baton Rouge.
