Marie Bonanno Franks, 75, a retired East Baton Rouge Parish school system 
employee, died Friday, July 18, 2008, at Baton Rouge General Medical Center-
Mid City. She was a native of Lobdell and a resident of Baton Rouge. Visiting 
at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., on Sunday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. 
Visiting at the funeral home chapel on Monday from 9 a.m. until religious 
service at 10 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Francis M. Nguyen. Interment will 
follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, 
Michael and Eleanor Franks and David and Barbara Franks; four grandchildren, 
Jennifer Franks, Sheryl Bower, Justin Franks and Mandi Franks; four great-
grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, Donnie and Lou Bonanno; a sister-
in-law, Sadie Bonanno; and numerous nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law and 
sisters-in-law. Preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Carl Franks; son, 
Ronald C. Franks; grandson, Bryan Joseph Franks; father, Santo Bonanno; mother 
and stepfather, Elizabeth Denicola Bonanno Meyers and Richard Meyers; and a 
brother, Andrew Bonanno Sr.
