He was a longtime resident of New Orleans. Orlando was a strong, loving and generous husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, who always put family first. Preceded in death by his parents and five of his brothers. Survived by his wife, Georgina Grillo; daughters, Sonia Grillo, Belkys Floyd and husband Richard, and May Gutierrez and husband David; seven grandchildren, Jonathan Salvaggio, Marlen E. Martinez-Harris, Jacklyn M. Martinez, Jessica L. Floyd, Shannon A. Floyd, Gabriela M. Gutierrez and Elizabeth A. Gutierrez; and four great-grandchildren, Ilene E. Harris, Nicanor A. Casais, Mia T. Casais and Isabella S. Salvaggio. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral Mass at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home chapel, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., Metairie, on Monday, July 21, at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery No. 1. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday beginning at 9 a.m. For those so desiring, memorials in honor of Orlando Eduardo Grillo may be made to the American Cancer Society.
