Visiting at Promised Land Baptist Church on Thursday, July 24, from 5 p.m. until religious service at 7 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Perry Wrights. Dismissal at 10 a.m. Friday. Interment in Southern Memorial Gardens. Survived by his mother, Albertha Jackson; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Alice Vick and Melva and Gregory Brown, all of Baton Rouge, and Brenda and Ralph Price, Houston; brother, Calvin W. and wife Clarice Ringgold, Baton Rouge; six nephews, three nieces, a great-nephew, an aunt, a great-aunt and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his father, Wesley Ringgold; grandparents, uncles, aunts, cousin and brother-in-law. He was a graduate of McKinley High School and the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. He enjoyed sports, especially basketball and football. The family extends sincere appreciation to Dr. Stephen Speeg for his care and assistance throughout Frederick's illness.
