He was 73, a resident of Baton Rouge, and a native of Hope Villa. He retired from Ethyl Corp. with 14 yrs of service and LSU. he was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. VIsiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd. 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday with wake services at 7 p.m. conducted by Deacon Albert Ellis. Visiting at the funeral home 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. Friday. Mass of Christian Burial at St. George Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m. Friday, conducted by the Rev. Tom Ranzino. Interment in Greenoaks memorial Park. Survived by wife, Jeanette Donellan Stephens, Baton Rouge; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Cheryl and Gary Jones, Watson, Mary and Jimmie Brewer, Pensacola, FL and Tammy Stephens, Prairieville; two sons and a daughter-in-law Thomas Kirby Stephens and Hilary Don and Pam Stephens, all of Baton Rouge; two sisters, Ebba Smith, Baton Rouge, and Ester Webb, of Baker; four brothers, Henry Stephens, Denham Springs, Preston Stephens, Baton Rouge, Aaron Stephens, Lake Charles, and Carey Stephens, Felps; and 12 grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents;Oliver Averett Stephens and Ollie Hunstock Womack Stephens; two brothers,James Green Stephens and Donald Kenneth Stephens; and two sisters, Myrna Wilkinson and Dollie Stephens. Pallbearers will be his nephews: Vincent Donellan, Ted Atterbery, Marshall Smith, Jodie, Timothy, and Lynn Stephens. He was a member of St. George Catholic Church, American Legion Nicholson Post No. 38, VFW Jeb Stuart Post No. 4224, Baker, and LSU Coffee Club. Memorial donations may be made to American Heart Association of Louisiana, P.O. Box 14123, Baotn rouge, LA 70898-4123 Additional Comments: for some reason my mother forgot to put preceeded in death by son: Terrence "Terry" Keith Stephens, 7-31-1977, at age 19 1/2 yrs. and two infant brothers, Ira WinsorStephens and stillborn boy. I think the funeral home cut those out when they made lamenated bookmarks that they sell to the family..
