Long Medical Center, a resident of Baton Rouge and a native of McComb, Miss., passed away Thursday, July 17, 2008, at Sherwood Manor Nursing Home. She was 79. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at Broadmoor Presbyterian Church, 9340 Florida Blvd., on Saturday, July 19, at 2 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Hawley Wolfe. Survived by three daughters, Meg Genusa, Ellen Snyder and Sammie Baker; seven grandchildren and nine great- grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents, Bob and Mae Andrews; and her brother, Robert Andrews. She graduated from University High. She enjoyed cooking, camping, reading and laughing. Many thanks to Sherwood Manor staff and Life Source Hospice for their care and compassion, and special gratitude to Mary Louise Hennan, her cousin, who faithfully kept in touch with her.
