She was a resident and native of Plaquemine. Visiting at Plymouth Rock Baptist Church, Plaquemine, on Saturday, July 5, from 9 a.m. until religious service at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Lee T. Wesley. Interment in Grace Memorial Park. Survived by her nephews, William Walker Jr., whom she reared, and wife Dianna Walker, of Palmdale, Calif., and Russell Walker and wife Melanie, of Grand Prairie, Texas; great-nieces, Lancia Nicole Walker and Kimberly Walker; great-nephews, Bradford M. Walker, William M. Walker III and Braxton M. Walker; brother, William M. Walker; and sister-in- law, Alma R. Walker. Preceded in death by her parents, William M. and Delia Walker; and nephew, Wendell Keith Walker. She received a bachelor's degree from Southern University, was a charter member of Women's Elite Club Inc., a member of Plymouth Rock Baptist Church and a former member of the church trustee board.
