She died on Saturday, July 19, 2008. She was born Nov. 22, 1919, in Centreville, Miss., and was a resident of Baker since 1945. Visiting at Charlet Funeral Home Inc. in Zachary on Sunday, was from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visiting at the funeral home on Monday, from 9 a.m. until religious service at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery near Liberty, Miss., conducted by James Sadler, pastor. Survived by her five children and their spouses, Edwin Howard White and Audrey, Baton Rouge, David Lester White and Linda, Clinton, James White and Carolyn, Liberty, Steven Kenneth White, Clinton, and Kathy Lynn Casey and Michael, Murphy, N.C. She had nine grandchildren, Terri White Deville, Russell White, Karen White Fuentes, Jonathan White, Jared White, Brian Casey, Jason Casey, James Casey and Austen Casey; and nine great-grandchildren, Megan McCartney Vicknair, Kirt Jackson, Rachel Deville, Rebekah White, Lauren White, Emma White, Evan White, Baylee Fuentes and Nicholas Fuentes. She is also survived by her brother, Alvin Preston McGraw, Denton, Texas. Preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Edwin L. White; her parents, Howard Fenton and Reubie Anne Newman McGraw; two brothers, Howard Fenton "H.F." McGraw Jr. and Kenneth McGraw; and three sisters, Hilda Thomason, Sarah Smith and Fern Romero. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Russell, Jonathan, Jared, Brian, Jason and James. Honorary pallbearers are her son, Steven, and her grandson, Austen. She was a member of the Baker Presbyterian Church.
