in ...matrimony to Miss Betty Taylor, daughter of the President elect.
   Mrs. Betty Bliss will ... be the ... presiding officer at the "white 
house" ... is said to be very handsome.

Additional Comments:
All histories say that Mary Elizabeth "Betty" Taylor and Colonel William 
Walter Bliss were married in Baton Rouge December 5, 1848, but this newspaper 
article seems to "prove" that wrong. I wonder what the license says?
