Imboden, Henry Imboden died Dec. 1842 Mary Ellen Imboden Dunklin died Dec. 1854-Madison Imboden are the children of David Imboden and mother Nancy who died Aug 1850 Book J 1830-1858 Eleanor Addison wife of Samuel Neil May 1857 Banner Democrat June l, 1895 An Aged Negro Woman Perhaps one of the oldest persons in the State died on the 15th of May in the second ward. Her name was Lethia Faulkner, but was generally know as Grana Lethia. She died on the Atherton plantation, where she had been living for the past sixty years or more. Her exact age is not known but in 1853 when J.W. Keene purchased her with other slaves at a sale in the second ward, and she was then considerd too old to work, and had not done any work for several years. Col. E. W. Constant considers at least 116 years old or older. She was taken care of by the Keene and Constant families, and never knew what want was. Up to within a few weeks of death she could thread a needle, do patch work, and took a delight in doing little things about her home. The old colored woman was tenderly laid away. Jan 24, 1879 Vicksburg Daily Herald-Died Jan 23rd 1879 at the residence of Mrs Julia Porterfield Joseph B Lyons in the 40 year of his age of pneumonia. Married in Floyd, Carroll Parish, La. Chambliss merchant given birth to an infant son who died. June 26, 1834-Died of cholera at Lake Providence on the June 17,1834 Mr. Edward Mitchell formerly a resident of Vicksburg. Nov. 14, 1816-Joseph Macquellen from Port Gibson, Miss married Cynthia Prince daughter of Robert Prince. August 25, 1836-Departed August 14, 1836 at Lake Providence, La. Cynthia Holland Macquillen, consort of Capt. Joseph Macquillen, age 37, fifth daughter of the late Price, Esq. Of Jefferson Co. Miss. Also in Tenn. leaving her husband and 6 children. Sept. 15, 1836-Departed 5th day of Sept. 1836, at the residence of Mr. R.J. Chambliss near the town of Lake Providence, La., John Abner Everett infant son of Mrs Lucinda S. Chambless and the late Abner Everett dec. He was 4 years old and left on older brother. August 7, 1834-Departed 23, at the residence of his father in Carroll Parish Mr. Harbord Hood age about 56 kone of the oldest settlers. Sentinel Expositor Vicksburg, Miss. September 23, 1845 -Died at Lake Providence, La on the 1st day of Sept. Fredonia V. infant daughter of William R. and Mary E. Jones, age 1 year 4 mo. Vicksburg Daily Whig-Sept. 19, 1840-Died at Bucks Bend Carroll Parish, La the 26 th of August 1840. Mr. James Beard in the 55 year of his age. Oct. 2, 1840-Died 17th at the residence of Thomas R. Patten Esq. In Lake Providence, Dr. Willam H Barnes native of Fairquier Co. Va. For the last 6 years was a residence of this Parish. August 5,1844-Married 21st July by the Rev. Thos. Dunn, Doctor John L. Finley of Providence to Miss Ann B. Pelham of Batchelors Bend. Vicksburg Daily Whig June 10, 1847- Died on the 20th at the residence of J.G. Bell, on Bayou Tensas, Mr. D. B. Cox native of Richmond, Ind., in the 28 years of his age Page 3 Nov. 3, 1846-Died in Carroll Parish, La. On the 3rd day of Oct. 1846, John P. Taylor age about 50. Mr. Talor was born and raised in Claibourne Co. Miss and had resided here the last 6 yrs. Vicksburg Register July 2, 1835 Died at Bayou Mason in the parish of Carroll on 4th day of June 1835, Samuel Hawley age about 80 years and a native of Mass. And once a soldier of the Rev. Army #S34916 Died at Bayou Mason in the parish of Carroll, La. The 30 day of March 1835, John Dempsey. Sr. age about 70, he was among on of the first settlers. Died at Providence, La. On the 20 day of Sept, 1836 William B. Leech Esq. Attorney and Counseler of Law. Departed this life July 13, 1837, Mrs Martha Chambliss consort of Nathaniel Chambless and daughter of James Beard, age 24. Vicksburg Register August 7 1834-Departed 23rd at the residence of his faher in the parish of Carroll, Mr. John Stanford Hood, third son of Harbird and Nancy Hood in the 27 year of his age. Jan 22, 1835- Departed the 30th day of Dec. 1834 at his residence in Carroll Parish Mr. Harbird Hood age about 56, one of the oldest settlers.
