The Century-Lake Providence, La. November 25, 1904
  
  Mr. Charles Beard, formerly of this city, now of Gloster, Miss., was married 
yesterday at the St Charles Hotel, New Orleans, to Mrs. Elizabeth Garrett of 
Gloster, Rev. John Foster officiating.
  Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Beard will spend their honeymoon in Havana, Cuba, after 
which they will return to Gloster where they will in the future reside.
  Mr. Beard has many friends in Providence, who will join The Sentry in 
extending congratulations and wishing him a long and happy married life.  
Messrs. I.B. and James Beard, brothers and sister of the groom, were guests at 
the wedding.

                              Cotton Crops Estimates

   Greenville, Miss. November 21, 1904
The members of the Greenville Cotton Exchange today each made an estimate
on the cotton crop and out of the 22 estimates submitted, the average for the 
crop was 11,327,955 bales.  Last year at this time the exchange figured the 
crop to be 10,199,200 bales, which proved very close to the actual receipts.
   
  Lost---Policies Nos. 2411 to 2434 inclusive, of the American Fire Insurance 
Co., of Philadelphia, Penn, have etiher been misplaced, lost or stolen, and 
the public is hereby warned against accepting any of the above policies in any 
manner whatever, as same have been made null and void and of no effect, on the 
records in my office at Philadelphia, Penn.  Holders of policies falling in 
above numbers are requested to notify me.
