Mrs. Helen Corinne (Braswell) Mabe, age 84, of Winnfield, La., passed away 
Friday, January 14, 2005, at the Winn Parish Medical Center in Winnfield, La.  
Mrs. Mabe was born in Goul, Arkansas, but grew up in Transylvania, La.  She 
graduated from business college and moved to Baytown , Tx. in 1949, where she 
lived for approximately 50 years until moving to Winnfield in 1997, where she 
resided until her death.  She  was a member of First Baptist Church of 
Winnfield.  

She was the daughter of the late Andrew Melvin Braswell and the late Effie 
(Jones) Braswell.

She is survived by her 

One Daughter,
Pat  Long and her husband Gene of Winnfield, La.

Four grandchildren
Jennifer Long Thompson and her husband Trey
Kelsey Long
Kimberly Sullivan Ramirez and her husband Juan
Kristopher Sullivan

Three great-grandchildren 
Kalon Thompson
Anthony Ramirez
Julian Ramirez

Numerous beloved nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Mabe was preceded in death by her husband, Walter B. Mabe; and daughter, 
Kathy Mabe Sullivan.      

Services are under the direction of Southern Funeral Homes, Inc., 202 E. 
Lafayette St., Winnfield, La., where the family will receive friends from 5:00 
PM to 9:00 PM Saturday, January 15, 2005 and from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM Sunday, 
January 16, 2005.  Funeral service will be at Southern Funeral Home Chapel at 
2:00 PM Sunday, January 16, 2005 , with Rev. Lindsey Burns officiating.  
Interment will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Winnfield, La.

Kris Sullivan, Steve Braswell, John Ferguson, Trey Thompson, Mike Adams, and 
Ted Pace will serve as Pallbearers
