LAKE PROVIDENCE (Special) - Funeral services for J. Monroe McBroom, Sr.
, 74, of Lake Providence were scheduled for 2 p.m. today at Riser and 
Son Funeral Home at Columbia with the Revs. E. W. Cauthron and Elmer 
Douglas officiating. 

Burial was slated in Pinehill Cemetery near Olla. 
Mr. McBroom died at a local hospital Wednesday after a long illness. 
He was a native of LaSalle Parish. 

Survivors include four sons, Capt. Adrian McBroom of the U. S. Army, 
C. M. McBroom of West Monroe, Billy Gene McBroom of Monroe, and Monroe 
McBroom, Jr., of Shreveport, a brother, John McBroom of Urania, and 
two sisters, Mrs. Andrew Davis of Olla and Mrs. Jessie Powell of Kelly. 

(NOTE:  James Monroe McBroom, Sr., was born Jan. 29, 1891, Olla LA, 
        to William Jackson MCBROOM and Sarah Jane BURT.)
