Jan. 25, 1957 - Funeral services for Sidney Hollis Nolan, age 49, who died in a Monroe hospital Wednesday night, will be held at 3 P.M. Sunday at the First Baptist Church in Lake Providence, La. Officiating at the services will be the Rev. C.A. Nartin and Rev. Marvin Stone. Interment will follow in the Lake Providence Cemetery under the direction of the Mulhearn Funeral home of Delhi. Nolen is survived by his wife, Mrs. Bessie Nolen, parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wes Nolan, all of Lake Providence,; two brothers, Celbert of Lake Providence, and Russell, of Los Angeles, Calif.; three sisters, Mrs. Louis Barnett, Lake Providence, La., Mrs. Counce Gould, Hope, British Columbia, and Mrs. C.H. Spell of Arkansas Pass, Texas. Pallbearers will be G.W. McPherson, Henry Turner, Russell Shelton, louis Johnson, Johnny Hattaway, and Wyllie DeLoach.
