Thie esteemed colored man was one of our best citizens, and was highly 
respected by all who knew him, his death, which occurred last Saturday 
morning, was a shock to his colored friends and acquaintances, as well as a 
great loos to them.  Arthur lived on a portion of the riginal Edgewood 
Plantation, which he had bought, and was doing well.  The ceremony took place 
at St. Peter's Chapel, and his remains were interred in the St. Peter's 
Chapel, and his remains were interred in the Providence Cemetery.  He was a 
well to do man, about 60 years old, quiet and unpretending.  Truly a good 
Christian Colored man has gone to his rest.
