On this 31st day of July, 1855, I make this my last will and testament: It is my will and desire that my son Robert Anderson shall receive a liberal education at one of the most approved colleges or universities in the southern states. It is my will and desire that all my estate in the state of Louisiana of which I die possessed in my own rights and also the community property shall be thrown into one lot and equally divided between my beloved wife Amy Anderson and my son Robert Anderson. I hereby bequeath to my sister Polly Anderson of Manchester, Vermont the use of my real estate lying in Manchester during her life, remainder to my nephew Robert Anderson forever.
