Last Will & Testament of Nancy Bieller. Recorded 3-2-1839. The State of Louisiana, parish of Carroll, March 1st 1839 == Be it remembered that I, Eli Harris, a Notary Public, in and for the parish of Carroll in the state of Louisiana, duly commissioned and sworn, residing at Providence in said parish and state, having been called at the request of Nancy Bieller at the residence of said parish and state, towrite her last Will & Testament. I repaired to her said residence on Lake Providence in said parish and State, and at her dictation wrote the following as her last Will and Testament __ to wit __ 1st I, Nancy Bieller, residing at Lake Providence in the parish of Carroll and state of Louisiana, now low in health, but of sound and disposing mind,knowing the certainty of Death, and the uncertainty of life, wish to arrange my worldly affairs before I die: __ therefore, I revoke and annull a certain act of Testament made by me on the twenty- first day of December Eighteen hundred and thirty-six, executed before Eli Harris Notary Public of said parish of Carroll at the town of Providence of record in the office of the Parish Judge of said parish __ And further, I now revoke and annull all other last Wills and Testaments heretofore made by me __ and now declare what follows to be my Last Will and Testament __ viz: I will and bequeath unto my daughter Elizabeth Lester Bieller, wife of Felix Bosworth, residing in this parish, She being my only child and heir of my body, all the property I now own, or which I may die possessed of, in the state of Louisiana, and in the state of Mississippi, and in any other state or place whatever __ leaving her, the said Elizabeth, my sole and only heir and legatee, to use and enjoy for herself and her heirs all the property which I have, leave, or die possessed of. == 2: If my said daughter Elizabeth should die leaving no child of her body, then, and in that case, I wish my said son in law Felix Bosworth to have one fourth of all my said property, and the balance of my property to be equally divided between my brothers and sisters, or the heirs of said Felix Bosworth, and the heirs of said brothers and sisters. ==3d At my death I wish my said son-in-law Felix Bosworth to have the seizen of all my property, and to be my executor and detainer of all the property I may possessed of. ___ And having read the foregoing to the Testatrix in the presence and in the hearing of Thomas V. Davis William H. Bower and David F. Castleman, witnesses residing in said parish of Carroll, the said Nancy Bieller declared the foregoing to be her last Will and Testament. == Thus Done in the said parish of Carroll on this first day of March in the year of our lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty- nine, in the presence of the foregoing named witnesses, without turning aside to other acts - the Testatrix and the said witnesses, signing the above with me the said Notary in presence of each other. == Nancy Bieller Thomas V.
