Petitioner of the estate was David R. Herring. Lunicie, Mahala, Mary, John D., George W. and James. The last two children died in Texas as the petitioner believes that George W. left 5 children and James 3. Lunice and Mary resides in Texas. Dec. 13,1852 he owed Robert Howeze $37.75 Paid Samuel Bard $25.00 for advertising in The Providence Herald, newspaper. Bill from Caledonia Store dated April 7, 1854 from Lawton & Serlez for soap, shoes, calico, bucket, broom. Inventory listed, Improvement on Bayou Macon, Rhody, negro and three houses.
