His family bought the old Levi Doughty homeplace. Mr. Delee had told us that Levi Doughty was an important man in his prime in the early 1800's. He owned probably 90% of East Feciliana Parish at that time. The old house was a large ante-bellum home and was one of the largest in the parish. It was torn down over 50 years ago. Mr. Delee remembers seeing it as a young child. The area where the house use to bee is open and surrounded by woods on three sides. This is where the graves are. If you get to the field where the old Levi Doughty homeplace was there is a metal gate. After crossing that metal gate you turn to the right and go to the back fence. The graves are located about 30 feet in the woods about half way down the fence. Buried here are the following people: Levi Doughty, born March 1, 1763; died April 28, 1854. His wife, Abigale Doughty, Born 1766; died August 17, 1825. and their son, Reuben Doughty, Born 1787; died 1826 at age 39. There is no marker for Ruben Doughty but there is a sunken in place next to his father and mother. Reuben died one year after his mother.
