Armstead, Celestine "Cel"

An East Feliciana Parish school system employee, died Friday, Oct 31, 2008, at 
Our Lady of the Lake Medical Center,  She was 74 and a resident and native of 
Clinton.

Visitation was at Mount Pilgrim Baptist Church in Clinton, on Nov 4, 2008, 
Religios services were held, Wednesday Nov 5, 2008 at 11:00 AM conducted by 
the Rev Ted Bradley.  Interment was in Macedonia Cemetery, Clinton.

Survived by a nephew, whom she raised as a son, and his sister.  Even though 
she had no biological children she raised many as her own.

Preceded in death by hew twin sister, Irene Wiley; a brother in law, Herman 
Wiley; a nephew Byron Wiley; parents Edward and Willie Mae Armstead.

She was a graduateof East Feliciana Industrial Training Institute and a 1956 
graduate of Southern University, where she completed her Masters degree plus 
30 hours.

She was an avid Jaguars fam and an active member of Jaguar Nation.

Arrangements were by Richardson Funeral Home, Clinton
