KILBOURNE, RICHARD HOLCOMBE Died Tuesday, March 10, 1998. A practicing attorney and member of the Louisiana State Bar Association for more than 60 years, he was born in Clinton, where he lived throughout his life. He was district attorney of the 20th Judicial District from 1954 to 1972 and was a past president of the Louisiana District Attorneys' Association. He lent his time and talent to many civic endeavors and was active in the Louisiana Republican Party during much of his professional career. In 1968, he was a delegate to the Republican National Convention and subsequently served a term on the Republican State Central Committee. He was an elected delegate to the Louisiana Constitutional Convention of 1973. He is survived by Nan Dennard, his wife of more than 50 years; Nancy Dennard Kilbourne, daughter; Walter Heath Kilbourne and Richard H. Kilbourne Jr., sons; and Don B. Kilbourne, nephew. He was preceded in death by Judge Hal Harper and Mary Roberta Heath Kilbourne, his parents; Mrs. Paulsen Spence, Mrs. Victor Coates and Mrs. Douglass Patch, sisters; and H.H. Kilbourne Jr., brother.
