Dougless, Lillian Wall A retired school teacher with Jackson High School and Silliman Institute and a resident of Slaughter, she died at noon Saturday, Oct. 24, 1998, at Lane Memorial Hospi-tal, Zachary. She was 92 and a native of East Feliciana Parish. Preceded in death by parents, Wil-liam H. and Mary E. Douglass; a sister, Mellie Alwilda “Miss Wilda” Douglass; and a brother, Percy Earl “Red” Douglass. She was a member of Slaughter United Methodist Church. BOUDREAUX, OLIVER A retired carpenter and a resident of Galvez for 20 years, he died at 7:45 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 28, 1998, in Galvez. He was 78, a former resident of Denham Springs and a native of Baton Rouge. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Interment in Mount Zion Cemetery, Galvez. CARACCIOLI, LOUIS EDWARD A retired employee of SECO Industries in Metairie and a resident of Baton Rouge, he died Monday, Oct. 26, 1998, in Honolulu, Hawaii. He was 67 and a native of Honduras. She was 89, born Feb. 4, 1908, in Washington Parish, and a resident of Jackson since 1929. Burial in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Survived by three sisters, Ruth Sylvest Dear, Jackson, Pauline Sylvest O'Keefe, Clarksdale, Miss., and Dixie Sylvest Moss, Lutcher; and two brothers, Thomas Ard Sylvest, Gramercy, and the Rev. Spurgeon J. Sylvest, Denham Springs. Preceded in death by husband, Vivian R. Varnado; parents, John D. and Minnie Fendlason Sylvest; three brothers, Vince Edward Sylvest, Frank E. Sylvest and the Rev. Royce E. Sylvest; and a sister, Johnnie Sylvest Harris. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Jackson since 1930, WMU, Louisiana Baptist Historical Association, President's Club at Louisiana College and Jackson Assembly. She was a graduate of Normal State College, Natchitoches. WARE, BOBBY SANDERS A retired Crown-Zellerbach Paper Mill machinist and resident of Jackson, he died at 1:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 22, 1998, at Lane Memorial Hospital, Zachary. He was 68 and a native of Battle. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean conflict, having received the United Nations Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal, Second Award, National Defense Service Medal and Navy Occupation Medal (Europe). He was a special East Feliciana Parish sheriff's deputy from 1964 to 1968 and a member of the sheriff's posse. Survived by wife of 38 years, Miriam Schwartz Ware, Jackson; three daughters and sons-in-law, Violet W. and David Wall, McComb, Miss., Barbara W. and Shannon Watts, Clinton, and Lily W. and James E. McGrath, Perry; a son, James Eugene Ware, Jackson; six grandchildren, Davenia Warren and Jerad Wall, Jackson, Tammanice Fleming, Clinton, Bobby James and John McGrath and Alexis McGrath, all of Perry; two great-grandchildren, Ariel Cheyene Peters and Dakota Wayne Peters, both of Jackson; a great-grandson, Dustin Duane Wall, due to be born in April; and nieces and nephews, including Robert Woods, Baton Rouge.
