Visiting at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Jackson, on Friday, July 18, was from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., with recitation of the rosary at 7 p.m. Visitation resumes at the church on Saturday, July 19, from 8:30 a.m. until recitation of the rosary at 9:30 a.m., led by the Knights of the Holy Sepulchre. Mass of Christian Burial at the church on Saturday at 10 a.m., celebrated by the Rev. Gerard Young, of St. Joseph Cathedral. Burial in Mount Carmel Catholic Church Cemetery, St. Francisville. Survived by a sister, Margaret Pittman, Jackson; and nieces and nephews, Trudy Mabry, Bandera, Texas, Linda Wilcox, Brandon, Miss., Ellen Toups, Jackson, Marcia Westerfield Willis, Clinton, Joseph David Toups, Grand Cane, and Terah Sampson, Madison, Miss. Preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Warren J. Westerfield; son, W. Jerome "Jerry" Westerfield Jr.; sister, Frances Sampson; two brothers, William Wilcox Jr. and Charles Wilcox; and parents, William and Estelle Wilcox. Pallbearers will be Terah Sampson, Joseph D. Toups, Jon Brumfield, Gerald Blanchard, Wilford Bradford and Brian Jackson. Honorary pallbearers are Al Womack, Fred Mabry, Paul Musselman, James "Jim" Soileau, Gene Casadaban, Leslie Brown, Adam Sampson and John Henry Rogers. Special thanks to Dr. Michael DeJohn, her devoted friend and caretaker for more than 35 years, Ms. Shirley Bradford, Dr. David Hansen at Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center and the staff at Hospice of Baton Rouge.
