Order issued by Tho. W. Scott, P.J., to Abel T. Norwood, Esq.:



"You are hereby commanded to appear in my office in the town

of Clinton on Wednesday the twenty-second day of August [1827]

at ten O'clock A.M. to answer interogatories under oath propounded

to you in the Case, Heirs of Julius Alford, dec'd, vs. Burlin and

Paris Childress, now pending in the 8th District Court, Parish of

St. Helena, hereof. You are not to fail under the penalty of the

law. August 18th, 1827, Tho. W. Scott, P.J.



[on reverse] Signed August 22nd, 1827, by delivery to A. T. Norwood,

a copy of the within summons. [signed] W. J. M. McKneely, sheriff.
