Everett Beauchamp, Willis Rowley and Thomas Wivasido, being sworn according to Law make oath we will give our advise according to the best of our knowledge on the matters and things that may be submitted to us in family meeting touching the interest of John Arbuthnot a minor on which we are called upon to deliberate, So help us God. (Signed) Henry Hawford The State of Louisiana, Parish of East Feliciana Be it remembered that on this Twenty Eighth day of April Eighteen Hundred and fifty Eight : I Henry Hawford a Notary Public in and for said Parish of East Feliciana by Lawful authority duly Commissioned and Sworn and herein authorized by a Commission from the Honorable Seventh District Court in and for said Parish of East Feliciana, in Suit numbered on the Docket of the Suits of said Court No. 2313 Entitled In the matter of the minority of John Arbuthnot filed in this Court 26th April 1858 which said Commission is hereto annexed. Did assemble in family meeting and Swear Thomas L. Dawson, William W. Dawson, L. Everett Beauchamp, Willis Rowley and Thomas Wivasido, relatives and friends of the minor John Arbuthnot... to give their advice according to the best of their knowledge on the matter and things that may be submitted to them in family meeting touching the interest of said minor John Arbuthnot, on which they are called upon to deliberate. Having so done I said Notary read over to the family meeting thus assembled and sworn, the petitioner having before referred to and said members entered in those deliberations. And after maturely deliberating on the Subject matter contained in said petition, they said members do advise and say that William B. Hobgood is a fit and proper person to act as Tutor to said minor John Arbuthnot, and recommended his appointment and further they Suggest and recommend that Willis Rowley be appointed under Tutor to said minor, and that these proceedings be homologated and made final without further formality or delay -- In testimony of all which said members sign hereto with and in presence of Samuel Decker and Charles McVey, competent resident and subscribing witnesses and me notary, after due reading hereof.
