Creamer marykcreamer@yahoo.com February 16, 2018, 11:55 pm source: Daily World (Opelousas, Louisiana) Tuesday, May 17, 1966, page 3 Wilson Bogard Funeral Services Held in Mamou MAMOU - Funeral services were held Sunday at 2 p. m. at the St. Ann Catholic Church, for Wilson "Jack" Bogard, 70, retired bar operator of Reddell, who died Saturday at 3:30 a. m. at the Ville Platte Medical Center, following a three month illness. The Rev. J. A. LeBlanc, pastor, officiated at the last rites and burial was in the Ortego Cemetery in L'Anse Gris community, directed by Ardoin Funeral Home. A native of Mamou, Bogard is survived by his mother, Mrs. Cleon Bogard of Reddell; his wife, the former Amy Ortego, of Reddell; four sons, Calvin Bogard and Elvin Bogard, both of the "Y" community; Louray Bogard of Pine Prairie, and Darwin Bogard of Moss Point, Miss.; one daughter, Mrs. Henry Fontenot of Grand Prairie. Others survivors include one brother, Gladwin Bogard of Ville Platte; three sisters, Mrs. Oze Guillory of Mamou, Mrs. Archie O'Neal of Port Arthur, and Mrs. Evant Vidrine of Redell; and eight grandchildren.
