Creamer marykcreamer@yahoo.com February 16, 2018, 11:56 pm source: Daily World (Opelousas, Louisiana) Friday, Jan. 15, 1960, page 21 Mamou Services Held Wednesday For Cleman Bogard MAMOU - Funeral services were held Wednesday for Cleman Bogard, 68, of Reddell, who died at the Ardoin Sanitarium in Ville Platte at 4:40 p. m. Tuesday following an illness of four months. Services were held at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Mamou with Rev. J. A. LeBlanc officiating. Burial was in the Ortego Cemetery in the Gray Point community. Ardoin's Funeral Home of Mamou was in charges. A life long resident of the Reddell community, Bogard is survived by his mother, Mrs. Cleon Bogard, of Reddell; his wife, the former Ava Guillory, also of Reddell; two daughters, Mrs. Harold Monier, and Mrs. Leonard Nequin, both of Reddell; andone son Levy Bogard of the Grey Point community. Other survivers include two brothers, Wilson Bogard of Reddell and Baldwin (sic) Bogard of Ville Platte; four sisters; Mrs. Archie O'Neal of Port Arthur, Tex., and Mrs. Avent Vidrine, Mrs. Azie Bogard and Mrs. Lizzie Bogard, all of Reddell; eight grandchildren and one great grandchild.
