Burial followed in the St. Peter's Catholic Church Cemetary. A native of Indiana, Mr. Conway died Friday June 30, 2000 at his residence. He was a United States Army Veteran having served during World War II. While serving he was the recipient of the Purple Heart. He was a retired for the Texas Department of Highway and Transportation. He was also a member of the Evangeline Genealogical and Historical Society. Survivors include his wife, Leona Guillory Conway of Eunice; two daughters, Betty Nerren of Trinity, Texas, and Lynda Davis of Kountze, Texas, one sister, Imogene Durbin of Phoenix, Arizona; 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Rush Funeral Home of Oakdale was in charge of arrangements.
