Obituary - Alexandria Daily Town Talk, Tuesday, 8 August 1995,
P. D-3, Column 3.

 
Belle O'Banion Foreman, age 90, died 7 August 1995 at Bayou Vista Nursing
Home.  She was a charter member of Centerville Baptist Church in St. Landry,
serving as president of the Women's Missionary Union and a Sunday School
teacher for 60 years. A graduate from the University of Southwestern Louisiana
(Lafayette). She worked in the Evangeline Parish School system for 65 years
and was principal of Centerville Elementary School for 25 years.

Survivors: Son, Carl Foreman Jr. of St. Landry, La. [Evangeline Parish];
Brother, Ray O'Banion of Colfax, La. [Grant Parish];  Sister, Genevieve Johnson
of Denham Springs [Livingston Parish];  2 Grandchildren and 4 Great-Grandchildren. 

[Note: Due to rules of the Louisiana School system, which prohibited a female
employee to be married, until that rule was changed, she remained single.]
 
Services: Centerville Baptist Church  Burial: In Vandenburg Cemetery at Bayou
Chicot, La. under direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home in Bunkie.

Services held at 11 am Wednesday in Centerville Baptist Church with Rev.
Ernest Toepfer, Bob Bonds and P.L. Hoyt officiating.  Pallbearers: Kenneth
Antee, Ronnie Johnson, Charles O'Banion, James Lormand, L.C. Foreman and Don
Whittington.
