Alphan Fontenot
April 24, 1928 - November 29, 2018

VILLE PLATTE -  Funeral services for Mr. Alphan Fontenot, 90, will be held 
at 1PM Monday December 3, 2018 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with burial 
to follow in the Evangeline Memorial Cemetery.

Mr. Fontenot, a resident of Ville Platte, passed away Thursday November 29, 
2018 at Mercy Regional Medical Center.
He was a retired policeman and a veteran of the US Air Force. His greatest 
enjoyment was spending time with his family, giving to others, camping, and 
gardening.

Alphan, will be deeply missed by his loving family, wife Mary Ann Fontenot 
of Ville Platte; sons Brent Fontenot and wife Pam of Ville Platte, Darren 
Fontenot of Ville Platte; daughters Cynthia Vidrine and husband Stephen of 
Ville Platte; Polly Marks and husband Lucas of Ville Platte; 12 
grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild. He is 
preceded in death by his parents Hillary and Mary Lou Fontenot, brother 
Burton Fontenot, sisters Betty Vidrine, Laura Lanclos.

Visitation will be held Sunday December 2, 2018 from 12PM-9PM, with a rosary 
being recited at 6PM, and will resume again Monday December 3, 2018 at 8AM.
