MRS. E. P. FONTENOT FOUND DEAD IN BED WEDNESDAY.

Was Life-Long  Resident Of This Section, She Leaves Many to Mourn Her.

Friends throughout this section learn with regret of the sudden death of 
Mrs. Emanuel P. Fontenot at Lanse-Aux-Paille, January, 28th. Mrs. Fontenot 
nee Lucinda Manuel was 83 years 4 months and twenty- [page crease] days, was 
found dead in bed by her daughter Mrs. Chapman. Funeral services were held 
Wednesday.

The deceased suffered from asthma and had recovered from a [page crease] 
during the afternoon, several of her children were visiting her [page 
crease] evening and at eleven o'clock she told them to leave as she felt 
[page crease] and would rest, at three o'clock in the morning Mrs. Chapman 
visited her mother's room, but did not disturb her as she was still resting. 
The daughter again visited her mother at dawn and found the lady dead.

Mrs. Fontenot leaves to mourn her death three daughters and three sons, Mrs. 
Philomen Chapman, Mrs. [page crease] *ine Foret and Emanuel Fontenot of 
Mamou, Mrs. Martin Por [page crease] and Hypolite Fontenot of Lake Charles 
and Armile Fontenot of this [page crease], fifty two grand children, six-
eight great grand children and six great great grand children.
