July 28, 1917 Sudden Death Torebius L. Fontenot, better known as "Tobe", aged about 53 years, died suddenly at Oberlin Monday evening, of heart failure. The body was brought here by automobile Tuesday and after funeral services at the Catholic Church, conducted by Father Savy, was interred in the old cemetery. Deceased was a bachelor. He is well and favorably known throughout this and adjoining parishes. He is survived by one sister, Mrs. Dan Quirk of Eunice, and one brother, Joseph L. Fontenot, chief deputy in Assessor Landreneau's office, Ville Platte. A large number of other relatives and a host of friends also mourn his death.
