Creamer marykcreamer@yahoo.com February 2, 2019, 9:19 pm source: Daily World (Opelousas, Louisiana) Wed, Jan 15, 1964, page 2 Mrs. Amar Ortego Funeral Conducted Mamou - Funeral services were held Monday at 9 a. m. at the St. Ann Catholic Church for Mrs. Amar Ortego, 65, of Reddell, the former Liza Bogard, who died Saturday at 11:45 a. m. at the Savoy Memorial hospital following an illness of five months. The Rev. J. A. LeBlanc officiated at the last rites and burial was in the Ville Platte old cemetery, under the direction of the Ardoin Funeral Home of Mamou. A life-long resident of the Reddell community, Mrs. Ortego is survived by her mother, Mrs. Clement Bogard, 91, of Reddell; two sons, Roy Ardoin and Hollard Ardoin of Houston; four daughters, Mrs. R. J. Pew of El Paso; Mrs. Clarence Guillory of Ville Platte; Mrs. Lawrence Kibodeaux of Houston; and Mrs. Howard Thibodeaux of Mamou; three sisters, Mrs. Avant Vidrine of Reddell, Mrs. Archie O'Neal of Part Arthur; two brothers, Gladwin Bogard of Ville Platte and Wilson "Jack" Bogard of Reddell; 18 grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
