Elliott Family at groundbreaking for new Centerville Baptist Church

This is a Picture of five members of John David Elliott family. The photo was
taken in early 1950's. This was a groundbreaking ceremony for the new
Centerville Baptist Church. This is in the Centerville Community of Evangeline
Parish, Louisiana.

Richard Elliott; Mary Elliott Hooter James; Theodoshia Elliott West; Beckie Ann
Elliott Duplissey; and Louis Elliott.


Additional Comments:
John David Elliott had donated the land for the first Centerville Baptist
Church. He was a founding member of the church. When they broke ground for a
new church, they invited the Elliott family to perticipate in the ceremony.
They also had a dinner on the ground. Lots of folks attended the ceremony.
