He died March 6, 1917 in Lonepine, Louisiana, which is in the North part of Evangeline Parish. He was the son of Adolphus Duplissey and Matilda Ann Franks. In the 1880's he was Constable at Lloyd Bridge in Rapides Parish. He had to carry his prisoners on horseback all the way to Alexandria to put them in jail.
