Isaac W. Choat was born July 23, 1804 in Montgomery Co., KY.  
He was the son of Augustine Choat of Bath Co., KY.    
Isaac migrated to Claiborn Co., MS where he married 
Catharine McAlister June 24, 1830 (Catherine's parents are 
not known).  
They had one unnamed son born and died in 1834, and another son 
Isaac W. Choat, Jr. born about 1835 before migrating to Franklin 
Parish, LA.  
Isaac and Catherine Choat's daughter Henrietta Neill Choat born 
March 29, 1839 in Franklin Parish married Roger Sherman Boughton 
October 26, 1854 in Franklin Parish.  To that union William 
Allen Boughton was born.  Henrietta Choat Boughton died 
March 22, 1959 in Franklin Parish, LA.
Other children of Isaac and Catherine Choat's all born in 
Franklin Parish were: 
William Franklin b. 1842, d. 4/15/1915; George born 1846 and 
died 1850; and Sarah J. born 1848 and died 1850.
This whole family was buried in the Choat Cemetery that was 
located on the old Choat farm.  The cemetery no longer exists.
