William Franklin Choat and Samantha Ann Green Thomason.  

     

Samantha's first husband John D. Thomason was killed during 

the Civil War.  William Choat promised John Thomason he would 

take care of John's wife, Samantha and son John, Jr.  

Even though Samantha was nine years older.

William came home on leave and married Samantha June 29th 1864.  



They had three children together 



1. Isaac Lewis "Ike"Choat

    married: 1.Rebecca E. Bell 

	     2.Emma C. Austin Wharton	



2. William Thomas Choat

      married: Katie E. Austin, 



3.Henrietta Ann T. Choat

      married: Peter G. Parham.
